Andromeda Galaxy From Kelling Heath 2015

My first CCD image from my Starlight Xpress M25C camera, taken at the 2015 Autumn Kelling Heath star party with my Orion 80ED. 14x10 minute exposures

just 12 mins of data was all I managed between the clouds

Partial Solar Eclipse - 20th March 2015

Much of the UK was clouded out for the partial solar eclipse of March 2015, so to be sure to see it in it's entirety, I travelled across to the Welsh border where the weather conditions were predicted to be more stable. Luckily the sky was clear throughout, and I managed to photograph the event from beginning to end.

6th February 2015

I finally managed to capture the comet Lovejoy C/2013-Q2 on 6th February, shooting 3 hours of data in 2 minute sub-exposures. Separate stacks of the comet and the stars recombined in photoshop.

18th December 2014

The relentless bad weather subsided for a few hours and although it was very windy, I managed a couple of hours on the Rosette nebula in Monoceros
